Brainwash Yourself?

Your subconscious mind will give you what you tell it?

If you have been practicing the Mental Training Program you are likely to be experimenting will self-talk. If you are planning to start Mental Training, you can expect to practice self-talk.

Remember this…

  • What you affirm is what you will manifest
  • What you think, you will become

How To Create Affirmations

Here are the basics of creating brain-reprogramming affirmations:

1. Determine the ‘voice’ your affirmations will have.

There are three possible voices to use:

First Person – “I am … a success.”

Second Person – “You are…a success.”

Third Person – “He is…a success.”

Third person affirmations also allow you to insert your own name:

Bob is a success”

2. Consider the length of your affirmation:

  • Affirmations they should be short and simple
  • You are sending a message to your subconscious

For example –

We become what we think about all day long

We become what we think about all day long

“I love exercise.”

“I am always happy.”

“I am calm.”

3. Set the tone – Affirmations need to be active and strong

Words that suggest that you might fail must never appear in your affirmation statements (e.g., “I’ll try…I might…Maybe I’ll…”I’ll probably…”

4. Affirmations need to be in the positive form.

For example: It is best to say, “I am now calm.” rather than “I am not mad”. The issue with “I am no mad.” is the word ‘no’. If someone was to tell you not to think of the Pink Elephant, what happens?

Creating affirmations means focusing on what you do want rather than on what you do not want.

5. Affirmations need to be in the present tense. Affirmations are time sensitive.

A well-crafted affirmation does not reflect your current reality. The purpose of affirmations is to create radical success by changing thought into reality…

e.g., “I will remain focused and win the contest in 20 days” rather than “I am focused and will win the contest.”
